A Day at the Gardens

This year we have a membership at the local Frederick Meijer Gardens. Yesterday we loaded up and headed out to do some exploring and get out of the house!
John seemed to enjoy the plants and the flowers.
Sam did this.
There are many sculptures throughout the park. This one seemed to be John's favorite. I don't remember all the history about it but I believe the design was DaVinci's....It's kind of big.
John was a little nervous at first. I think he was waiting for it to move. Then he was dancing around it saying "Big Worsey (horsey)! Big Worsey!".
Meanwhile, Sam did this.
Then we met Linda who was feeding the birds. She asked John to help her fill the feeders and he was quite delighted!
And Sam still did this.
Then we went and sat under this big glass sculpture
and had a snack!
Both boys were fast asleep the whole ride home!
It was a great day!

My Purse

This post is a few weeks late...but this is my new Fall purse!
I found the fabric on sale and kept waiting to find the right pattern, which proved to be difficult because I wanted a free pattern. So I came up with my own.
It felt good to make this because with two little men on the move I haven't found much time for crafting!
