I'm Still Alive

It has been repeatedly brought to my attention that I have not updated my blog for awhile.
There have been a few changes around here since late October so here's a brief run-through.
That is Sam brand new on December 19th. He weighed in just shy of 10 lbs and has been packing on the weight ever since.
Here we are within the last two weeks. He is well over 5 months old and developing quite a lovely personality! Though unfortunately, until he gets a little more hair he will continue to resemble Dr. Evil. He is a wonderful addition to our family and John is handling the change well. John is well into the two's in every sense of that word. He is busy and friendly and mischievous all at once. I sneak into his room every night just to see him at peace and looking so angelic...and then there are mornings like this morning where he greeted us at 5:30 AM full of energy! Motherhood is more difficult to those of us who are not used to seeing the world before 8 in the morning.
Here we are as the four of us...our first shot as a family!
It was a long winter adjusting to life with two little people but Spring is here and I'm starting to figure a few things out. God has continued to be faithful to us and is our Rock as always (see Psalm 62).
Today Chris and I are celebrating 5 years of marriage. It seems unbelievable to me that we have already reached this milestone. Looking back we have had so much joy in our life together. There have been many hard times but so many fun memories. Chris is still the best man I know and I am astounded each day that he chose me. I am so blessed.
This was take when we first started dating 7 years ago...and oh my goodness I still own those shoes!
Well...I hope no one died of shock seeing a new post on my blog. I have no idea why it occurred to me to post this very moment. I'm supposed to be out gardening on this beautiful day. But here I am letting you all know that I am indeed alive and well and I may just get back into a routine of regular blogging like all the rest of you faithful people
...but don't count on it. :)
